Creating New Markets For Waste Materials

Buy Back Centres are waste collection points located near landfills where recyclable material from waste pickers is purchased helping divert waste from landfills and promote a circular economy.

TakaTaka Solutions operates five Buy Back Centres across Kenya with locations in Dandora, Thika, Nakuru, Mombasa, and Kakuma supporting waste pickers across the country.

Our Impact

Our Buy-Back Centres provide waste pickers with a reliable and fair source of income, empowering them to better support themselves and their families. By offering competitive prices for collected waste, we ensure their efforts are properly rewarded and they are provided with protective equipment for a safer working environment.

TakaTaka also sponsors kindergartens just on the outskirts of key Buy-Back Centres, offering children a safe place to learn and grow while their parents are at work. Our goal is to foster both economic stability for waste pickers and a community that supports their well-being and secures a better future for their families.
